March 22 (SeeNews) - The Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) said on Thursday its preliminary pre-tax profit from operations in Macedonia increased to 2.8 million euro ($3.4 million) in 2017 from 1.6 million euro the year before.
Total gross written premiums in Macedonia edged down to 24.9 million euro last year from 25.8 million euro in 2016, VIG said in its 2017 preliminary unaudited results, posted on its website.
Motor third party liability (MTPL) premiums grew to 11.4 million euro in 2017 from 10.5 million euro a year earlier, while casco premiums fell to 1.8 million euro from 2.3 million euro.
Other property premiums decreased to 11.7 million euro last year from 13.0 million euro in 2016.
