February 20 (SeeNews) - The Bosnian unit of German automotive corporation Veritas AG - Veritas Automotive, on Thursday dismissed an earlier media report regarding the company's Sarajevo car parts factory expansion.
"Hereby we declare that statements and figures shown on behalf of Veritas Automotive d.o.o., as well as the statement from Mr. Ervin Berbic was not authorised by Veritas Automotive d.o.o. and/or by Mr. Ervin Berbic," Veritas Automotive told SeeNews in an e-mailed statement.
On Wednesday, SeeNews quoted Bosnian news portal Biznisinfo.ba as reporting that Veritas Automotive will soon complete the construction of a new logistics facility at its car parts factory in Sarajevo.
Biznisinfo.ba have corrected their report originally issued on Wednesday, Veritas Automotive said in the statement.
Bosnian cargo company ASA Sped, part of ASA Group, will soon complete the construction of a new 4.2 million marka ($2.3 million/2.1 million euro) logistics facility for Veritas Automotive - a project in which it also acts as an investor, the media report reads on Thursday.
"We are currently in the finishing phase of the construction of the facility for the needs of Veritas, spreading over 5,000 square metres," Biznisinfo quotes ASA Sped CEO, Abdulah Povlakic, as saying.
Veritas Automotive produces fluid fuel systems, oil, brake systems, for car manufacturers such as BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Ford, Mercedes, Seat, Skoda.
Gemany-based Veritas AG has branches in Bosnia, Turkey, Austria and Hungary in Europe, as well as in China, the U.S. and Mexico, company data showed.
