February 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian financial leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:0EA] said that it has signed deals to finance purchases of agricultural land worth just over 180,500 levs ($100,500/92,300 euro) in January, down by an annual 23.9%.
Elana Agrocredit usually finances 80% of the value of the deals.
The number of deals signed more than halved to 8 in January from 17 in the same month of last year, the company said in a monthly bulletin.
In terms of the size of land purchased, Elana Agrocredit financed deals for 299 decares in January, up from 270 decares in the same month of 2018.
