November 2 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended lower on Wednesday on losses in Valamar Riviera and Hrvatski Telekom, bourse data showed.
The 19-share CROBEX fell 0.75% to finished at 1,914.37 points.
The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, went down 1.01% to close at 1,129.36 points.
In regular trading, food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] was the most traded company with turnover of 9.9 million kuna ($1.3 million/1.3 million euro). Its shares ended flat at 612 kuna.
Second by turnover with 1.3 million kuna ranked shares of Zagrebacka Banka [ZSE:ZABA], which are constituent of the broader equity index. They lost 0.96% to close at 61.80 kuna.
Among the blue chips, in lower turnovers, shares of hotel owner and operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] fell 1.02% to 29 kuna and index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] plunged 1.41% to end at 174.50 kuna.
The bourse's regular trading turnover rose to 22 million kuna on Wednesday from 5.9 million kuna on Monday, lifted by a 3.5 million kuna block deal with shares of Hrvatski Telekom and a 2.6 million kuna block deal with shares of ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT].
On Tuesday, the bourse was closed due to All Saints' Day, a public and market holiday in Croatia.
