July 22 (SeeNews) - U.S.-headquartered software engineering firm DataArt opened a research and development centre in Bulgaria's coastal city of Varna as part of its strategy for geographical diversification, it said on Friday.
The R&D centre will create 50 jobs by the end of the year, as the hiring process will continue throughout next year, DataArt said in a press release.
The new centre will focus on developing software solutions for clients in various sectors, with a focus on trade and finance.
DataArt stepped on the Bulgarian market in 2016 with a representative office in Sofia.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, DataArt is present in Serbia. In March, it acquired Serbia's Software Nation as part of its expansion strategy and opened an office in Belgrade. The Belgrade office has 40 employees, with a strong potential to reach up to 100 employees within the next few months, DataArt said at the time.
