SKOPJE (Macedonia), December 8 (SeeNews) – Washington-based Broadstone Defense, through its Macedonian subsidiary – Broadstone Security, has begun the construction of a $5 million (4.69 million euro) manufacturing plant in Macedonia, defense minister Zoran Jolevski said.
The new plant, which will be located in the town of Makedonski Brod, in central Macedonia, will produce ammunition and personal defense weapons in line with NATO standards, Jolevski said during the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday. Footage of the event was uploaded on the official Facebook page of Broadstone Security.
Five production halls along with an administrative building and a storage facility will be built as part of the project.
The investment is expected to create 200 jobs.
