June 7 (SeeNews) - U.S.-based plastic products manufacturer Bemis Manufacturing Company (BMC) will invest 5 million euro ($5.7 million/37.1 million kuna) in a new plant in Croatia's Ivanic-Grad, local media reported on Friday.
Croatia's Ivanicplast, a unit of BMC, signed an agreement with the public property ministry for the purchase of a 3.5 million kuna public property in Ivanic-Grad, some 40 km from Zagreb, news portal poslovni.hr reported.
The property covers 43.5 square metres, as the investor will employ 200 people in the new factory.
Ivanicplast is the leading producer of toilet seats on the Middle and East European markets. The company produces some 450,000 toilet seats annually and exports more than 85% of its products.
BMC is one of the biggest world groups doing business in the toilet seat industry. In March, it took over Ivanicplast.
