September 23 (SeeNews) - U.S.-headquartered rigid packaging manufacturer Berlin Packaging said it has acquired European Packaging Solutions (EPS), a company with offices and warehouses in Albania and Bulgaria, for an undisclosed sum.
The buyer will retain all employees and locations of EPS, it said in a press release on Thursday.

The acquisition broadens the company’s presence in the Balkans with additional glass packaging solutions for the food, soft drink, beer, and spirit markets, Berlin Packaging said.
Family-owned EPS was established in Albanian capital Tirana in 2005. The company expanded its operations to Bulgaria in 2013.
Berlin Packaging entered the Balkan region last year with its acquisition of Elias Valavanis, a Greek supplier of glass packaging for the food and beverage industry.
