BUCHAREST (Romania), November 19 (SeeNews) – Romania's competition regulator said on Thursday it has launched an investigation into suspected unfair competition resulting from the acquisition by U.S. private equity fund Advent of some of the local assets of British pharmaceuticals company Ozone Laboratories.
Romanian companies Ozone Laboratories Pharma and Perpetuem Limited, both owned by Advent, had notified the Competition Council they were taking control of some assets of Ozone Laboratories in Romania, but the deal was wrapped up without the council’s approval, the regulator said in a statement.
