LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), April 26 (SeeNews) – Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] said on Thursday its consolidated net profit decreased 1.0% year-on-year to 9.68 million euro ($11.8 million) in the first quarter of 2018.
Consolidated net sales revenues added 1% on the year to 182.2 million euro through March, primarily due to higher revenue from the retail mobile and fixed market, the telco said in a filing to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
Telekom Slovenije Group's operating revenues totalled 183.4 million euro in January-March, an increase of 1% on the first quarter of 2017, while EBITDA expanded 3% to 52.5 million euro.
Telekom Slovenije's mobile users decreased to 1,771,101 at the end of March, down 2% compared with the end of 2017. The number of users of fixed voice telephony services remained unchanged at 558,780. There was no change in the number of broadband users compared to December 2017, which remained at 365,915.
The group’s investment in the first three months of 2018 totalled 23.4 million euro, down 35% on the year. The investment was made primarily into modernization, strengthening and development of broadband fiber optic and 4G mobile networks.
The Telekom Slovenije Group employed 3,652 as at March 31, down 1% compared to last year.
