July 10 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) went up by 2.1% year-on-year in June, after increasing by 2.3% a month earlier, the national statistical office said on Monday.
Consumer prices fell by 0.1% on the month in June after growing by 0.1% in May, the statistical office said in a statement.
The biggest monthly rise in prices in June, of 3.2%, was recorded in the hotels and restaurants segment. Housing, water, electricity and natural gas prices rose by 0.2%, while prices of furniture and household appliances also grew by 0.2%.
On the other hand, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages declined by 0.8% month-on-month in June, while housing, water, transport costs fell 0.1%.
In 2016, Montenegro's CPI fell by 0.2% after rising by 1.5% in 2015.
