June 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's economy expanded by 3.6% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2018, after growing by 3.5% in the previous quarter, preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) showed on Thursday.
On a quarterly comparison basis, Bulgaria's GDP growth accelerated to 0.9% in the first three months of 2018, from a 0.7% growth in the last quarter of 2017, according to the NSI data.
Calculated in current prices, Bulgaria's GDP totalled 21.48 billion levs ($13.0 billion/11.0 billion euro) in the first quarter of the year.
