July 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's annual consumer price inflation accelerated to 3.2% in June from 2.6% in May, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices added 0.1% in June, after rising by 0.3% in May, NSI said in a monthly inflation report.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight of 31.3% in the consumer basket, increased 2.7% year-on-year in June, while transport prices (8.7% weight) rose 8.2%.
Prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (18.22% weight) increased 4.4% on the year.
Bulgaria’s EU-harmonised consumer price index (HICP) rose 3.0% on the year in June and was 0.5% higher compared to May.
