July 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's annual consumer price inflation slowed down to 2.8% in June, from 3.5% in the previous month, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices fell by 0.6% in June, after adding 0.1% in May, NSI data indicated.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight in the consumer basket, increased 4.6% year-on-year in June, while prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose 4.1%.
Prices in the transport segment edged down 0.4% year-on-year in June.
Bulgaria’s EU-harmonised consumer price index (HICP) added 2.3% on the year in June and was unchanged compared to May.
