February 23 (SeeNews) - Austrian insurance group UNIQA said on Thursday it made a pre-tax profit of 300,000 euro ($318,335) from operations in Kosovo in 2022, after recording a pre-tax profit of 1 million euro the year before.
Net earned premiums from operations in Kosovo went up to 16 million euro last year, compared with 13.8 million euro in 2021, UNIQA said in an annual financial report.
UNIQA's gross written premiums (GWPs) in Kosovo reached 18.6 million euro in 2022, up 20% on the year.
UNIQA Group is represented by two companies in Kosovo - SIGAL UNIQA Group AUSTRIA and SIGAL Life UNIQA Group AUSTRIA.
In Southeast Europe, UNIQA also operates in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia.
