February 23 (SeeNews) - Austrian insurance group UNIQA said on Thursday that its profit before taxes from operations in Albania increased to 4.8 million euro ($5.1 million) in 2022, compared with 3.9 million euro booked the year prior.
Net earned premiums rose to 41.4 million euro in 2022 from 36.4 million euro in 2021, UNIQA said in an annual financial statement.
Total gross written premiums (GWPs) were 15.4% higher year-on-year in 2022, reaching 50.4 million euro.
The UNIQA Group is represented in Albania by SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria and SIGAL Life UNIQA Group Austria, and pension fund SIGAL Life UNIQA Group Austria.
In Southeast Europe, UNIQA also operates in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia.
