TIRANA (Albania), November 22 (SeeNews) – Austrian insurance group UNIQA said its pre-tax profit from operations in Albania fell to 1.9 million euro ($2.1 million) in first nine months of 2019 from 2.5 million euro in the like period of the previous year.
Total gross written premiums from operations in Albania added 7% on the year in January-September, reaching 29.4 million euro, UNIQA said in a nine month financial report.
Gross written premiums in the non-life insurance segment rose 5% to 23.3 million euro in the period under review, while premiums from life insurance rose 14% to 4.5 million euro. Health insurance premiums increased by 18% to 1.6 million euro.
