PODGORICA (Montenegro), March 10 (SeeNews) – Austrian insurance group UNIQA said on Thursday its pre-tax loss from operations in Montenegro widened to 600,000 euro ($658,033) in 2015 from 300,000 euro a year earlier.
Total gross written premiums from operations in Montenegro rose 6% to 12.4 million euro through 2015, UNIQA said in a financial report.
Gross written premiums on the non-life insurance segment in Croatia accounted for 9.8 million euro of the total premiums volume in 2015, down 1% on the year. Gross written premiums from life-insurance rose by 3% to 2.0 million euro.
In Southeast Europe, UNIQA also operates in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Macedonia, Croatia, and Serbia.
