August 7 (SeeNews) - Italian banking group UniCredit said on Tuesday its Slovenian unit recorded a consolidated profit of 16 million euro ($18.5 million) in the first half of 2018, up 88.4% year-on-year.
In Slovenia, UniCredit is represented by UniCredit Banka Slovenija.
The bank's net interest income fell 9.5% on the year to 23 million euro in the first half, while net fee and commission income dropped 2.8% to 13 million euro, the UniCredit Group said in an interim financial statement.
UniCredit's Slovenian unit booked an operating income of 40 million euro in the first half of 2018, down 2.4% on the year. Its net operating profit jumped 92.3% to 23 million euro.
The bank's customer loans volume increased 8.1% to 1.9 billion euro, while deposits rose 6.7% to 1.8 billion euro.
