BELGRADE (Serbia), August 7 (SeeNews) – Italian banking group UniCredit said on Wednesday its Serbian unit recorded a consolidated profit of 35 million euro ($39.1 million) in the first half of 2019, down from 36 million euro a year earlier.
The Serbian unit's net interest income increased 9.8% on the year to 59 million euro in the first half, while net fees and commission income rose 22.2% to 16 million euro, the UniCredit Group said in an interim financial statement.
The operating income of UniCredit's Serbian unit grew 12.4% on the year to 84 million euro, while net operating profit fell 0.9% to 45 million euro.
Customer loans increased 5% on the year to 2.305 billion euro in the first half of 2019, while deposits totalled 2.128 billion euro, up from 1.880 billion euro a year earlier.
