August 7 (SeeNews) - Italy's UniCredit Group said on Tuesday the consolidated profit of its Croatian unit jumped to 95 million euro ($110.0 million) in the first half of 2018, from 31 million euro in the same period last year.
In Croatia, the UniCredit Group is represented by Zagrebacka Banka [ZSE:ZABA-R-A].
Zagrebacka's net interest income fell 2.9% to 190 million euro, while net fees and commission income edged down 0.6% to 72 million euro, UniCredit Group said in its first-half financial statement.
UniCredit's Croatian unit recorded an operating income of 292 million euro in the first half of 2018, up 5.8% year on year. Its net operating profit expanded sharply to 151 million euro from 55 million euro.
The value of customer loans rose 0.5% year-on-year to 9.183 billion euro, while deposits increased 4.0% to 10.936 billion euro.
