November 8 (SeeNews) - Italy's UniCredit Group said on Thursday the consolidated profit of its Croatian unit nearly doubled to 139 million euro ($158.8 million) in the first nine months of 2018, from 78 million euro in the like period last year.
In Croatia, the UniCredit Group is represented by Zagrebacka Banka [ZSE:ZABA-R-A].
Zagrebacka's net interest income fell 3.5% to 280 million euro, while net fees and commission income went up 3.2% to 116 million euro, UniCredit Group said in its nine-month financial statement.
UniCredit's Croatian unit recorded an operating income of 436 million euro in the first nine months of 2018, up 4.1% year-on-year. Its net operating profit expanded sharply to 219 million euro from 134 million euro.
The value of customer loans rose 1.9% year-on-year to 9.205 billion euro, while deposits increased 0.6% to 11.102 billion euro.
