February 1 (SeeNews) - Italian banking group UniCredit said that it increased its net profit from operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina by 43.4% year-on-year to 65 million euro ($70.5 million) in 2022.
UniCredit's two Bosnian units booked profit before tax of 78 million euro combined in 2022, up 23% on the year, the group said in an annual financial statement on Tuesday.
The Bosnian units' net interest income rose 9.4% on the year, reaching 105 million euro in 2022, while the net fee income added 16.4% to 54 million euro.
Customer deposits edged up by an annual 0.7% to 3.4 billion euro in 2022, whereas loans grew 1% to 2.2 billion euro.
UniCredit Group has a banking unit in each of Bosnia's two autonomous entities - the Serb Republic and the Federation.
