SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 7 (SeeNews) – Italian banking group UniCredit said on Wednesday its two Bosnian units recorded a consolidated profit of 31 million euro ($34.7 million) in the first half of 2019, up from 28 million euro a year earlier.
The units' net interest income fell 1.6% on the year to 54 million euro in the first six months, while net fees and commission income rose 3.2% to 23 million euro, the UniCredit Group said in an interim financial statement.
The operating income of UniCredit's two Bosnian units edged up 0.9% on the year to 83 million euro, while net operating profit added 10.5% to 44 million euro.
The units' volume of customer loans increased 4.5% on the year to 2.3 billion euro in the first half of 2019, while deposits grew to 2.8 billion euro, from 2.7 billion euro a year earlier.
UniCredit Group has a banking unit in each of Bosnia's two entities - the Serb Republic and the Federation.
