SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 7 (SeeNews) – Italian banking group UniCredit said on Tuesday its two Bosnian units recorded a consolidated profit of 28 million euro ($32.4 million) in the first half of 2018, up from 24 million euro a year earlier.
The units' net interest income edged down 0.4% on the year to 55 million euro in the first six months, while net fees and commission income rose 10.3% to 22 million euro, the UniCredit Group said in an interim financial statement.
The operating income of UniCredit's Bosnian units grew 5.0% on the year to 82 million euro, while net operating profit added 14.6% to 40 million euro.
The units' volume of customer loans increased 10.4% on the year to 2.2 billion euro in the first half of 2018, while deposits totalled 2.7 billion euro, up from 2.3 billion euro a year earlier.
UniCredit Group has a banking unit in each of Bosnia's two entities - the Serb Republic and the Federation.
