SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 11 (SeeNews) – Italian banking group UniCredit said on Thursday its two Bosnian units recorded a consolidated profit of 12 million euro ($13 million) in the first quarter of 2017, up from 11 million euro a year earlier.
The units' net interest income increased 2.3% on the year 27 million euro in the first three months, while net fees and commission income rose 7.8% to 10 million euro, the UniCredit Group said in a financial statement.
The operating income of UniCredit's Bosnian units grew 2.3% on the year to 38 million euro, while net operating profit added 2.5% to 20 million euro.
The units' net volume of loans increased 5.8% on the year to 1.9 billion euro, while deposits totalled 2.3 billion euro up from 2.1 billion euro a year earlier.
UniCredit Group has a banking unit in each of Bosnia's two entities, the Serb Republic and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
