SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), February 8 (SeeNews) – Italian banking group UniCredit said on Thursday its two Bosnian units recorded a consolidated profit of 51 million euro ($62.5 million) in 2017, up 14% on the year.
The units' net interest income increased 1.4% to 109 million euro in the period under review, while net fees and commission income rose 8.1% to 41 million euro, the UniCredit Group said in its financial statement for 2017.
The operating income of UniCredit's Bosnian units grew 3.0% on the year to 156 million euro, while net operating profit added 18.1% to 74 million euro.
The units' volume of customer loans increased 5.5% on the year to 2.025 billion euro, while deposits grew to 2.522 billion euro, up 13.1% year-on-year.
The number of UniCredit branches in Bosnia dropped to 113 at the end of December from 114 in the last quarter and 119 a year earlier.
UniCredit Group has a banking unit in each of Bosnia's two entities - the Serb Republic and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
