December 28 (SeeNews) - UK-based commercial and residential property developer Poseidon Group plans to invest 10 million euro ($11.5 million) in the opening of a retail park under its Capitol Park brand in Zajecar, eastern Serbia, the company said.
The project will allow the opening of 300 jobs in the construction phase and 200 upon the opening of the retail park in the spring of 2019, Poseidon Group said in a statement earlier this week.
"We decided to invest in Zajecar because of its central location in the Borsko-Zajecarski district, the improving economic outlook for the city, and lack of modern retail complex in this part of Serbia. We are proud to confirm that months before the opening we have let over 80% of the retail space in Capitol Park Zajecar," Poseidon's corporate affairs director James Gunn said.
The retail park, to be built on a 20,000 square metres plot, will have 18 stores of leading Serbian and international brands, including JYSK, Nefa furniture, Studio Moderna, Extreme Intimo, Opposite shoes, Djak sport, Lilly, LC Waikiki, New Yorker, Deichmann, Sinsay and N Sport, Gunn added.
Poseidon Group’s retail park brand in Serbia was established with Capitol Park Sabac in 2014. The company plans to operate a total of 10 Capitol Park schemes by the end of 2020.
