February 23 (SeeNews) - The UK Civil Aviation Authority said it has has successfully prosecuted Romanian low-cost carrier Blue Air Aviation for six offences under the Covid Enforcement Regulations and a local court fined the airline 40,000 British pounds ($54,262/ 47,812 euro).
Blue Air Aviation has been fined after pleading guilty to the offences, Civil Aviation Authority said in a press release on Tuesday.
Five of the offences concern Blue Air Aviation failing to ensure that passengers arriving at Heathrow had completed the required Passenger Locator Form. The sixth offence concerns the operator failing to ensure an arriving passenger had the required evidence showing that they had completed a pre-departure Covid test.
In December, Blue Air said it will cancel some of its flights scheduled for January and February due to low demand caused by new Covid-19 restrictions imposed in some European countries.
