November 7 (SeeNews) - UK-based car engine components manufacturer Albon plans to build a factory in Sremska Mitrovica, in northwestern Serbia, the city government said.
The factory, spanning almost 3.3 hectares, will be located in the industrial zone of the city, documents posted on the Sremska Mitrovica city website last week showed.

Approached by SeeNews for information on the volume of the planned investment and the capacity of the new unit, the city authorities PR officer, Biljana Glamocak, said the plan is in an initial phase and this information is not yet available.
Albon, present in Serbia since 2014, already operates two production facilities in the country - one in Ruma and one in Simanovci, both in the north.
Albon makes high-volume connecting rod manufacture and bearing cap assemblies at its Serbian manufacturing plants.
