March 6 (SeeNews) - United Arab Emirates-based company Rasiyat has presented the main design of a shopping mall and a recreational complex project it plans to develop in Bosnia's Zenica, which would employ some 2,000 people, the local municipality said.
The investor has carried out a market research and analysis on the project, which indicated its success and encouraged the potential investor to make further progress on it, Zenica's municipal government said in a statement earlier this week.
The main design was presented during the fourth meeting between Rasiyat representatives and Zenica officials on the project, the statement reads. Talks on the issue between the two parties have been in progress for some two years now.
Zenica's mayor Fuad Kasumovic said in the statement that once the project is completed, some 2,000 new jobs will be created,
The two parties also signed a memorandum of understanding defining their rights and obligations on the project, as well as the terms for its implementation.
Zenica, located some 70 km northwest of Sarajevo, has a population of some 100,000.
