February 18 (SeeNews) - The government of Montenegro's capital Podgorica said two local tie-ups have successfully passed the pre-qualification stage of its tender for construction of 19 km of sewerage network worth an estimated 3.3 million euro ($3.6 million).
A consortium comprising construction companies Toskovici and Tehnoput MNE has submitted the best bid for construction of 10 km of the sewerage network of the city for an estimated price of 1.8 million euro, while a tie-up of AG Infolan and Eurozox was the best bidder for construction of a further 9 km of the network with its offer of 1.5 million euro, the city government said in a press release on Saturday.
A go-ahead by German development bank KfW is needed in order to sign agreements and start construction, the statement reads.
The project aims to connect more than 1,500 households to the sewerage system.
