January 11 (SeeNews) - Two companies plan to launch initial public offerings (IPOs) on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) this year, the bourse's CEO, Ivan Takev, said on Wednesday.
One of the companies will announce its IPO at the end of January or the beginning of February, Takev told SeeNews by phone.

Takev declined to disclose which sector that company belongs to, only saying that it is from a sector which has strong representation on the Bulgarian market but is different from the IT business.
Takev also declined to disclose the name of the second company.
Further details were not immediately available.
In 2016, Bulgarian telecommunication services provider Allterco [BUL:A4L] raised 1.5 million levs in a Sofia IPO.
A total of 99,450 shares of Bulgarian real estate management company Neo London Capital, with a nominal value of 100 levs each ($53.7/51.1 euro), were subscribed for in an IPO on the BSE which closed in December, bourse data showed.
On January 10, the BSE's blue-chip index SOFIX extended its winning streak, climbing above 600 points for the first time since May 2014.
