April 7 (SeeNews) - Turkish power plant operator Aksa Enerji Uretim [IST:AKSEN] said that the Sanliurfa natural gas power plant has resumed operations after obtaining permission from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS).
The power plant resumed production on Monday, Aksa Enerji said in a statement filed with Istanbul bourse's Public Disclosure Platform, KAP.
Aksa Enerji said on April 5 it has filed an application with TEIAS to resume operations at the plant in response to the need for flexible production capacity.
"The suspension of operations for the last two months resulted in nearly 90% cost reduction in the plant's transmission expenses, as predicted in our previous material disclosures. However, such transmission fees are expected to be back charged by TEIAS," Aksa Enerji said.
