Arcelik [IST:ARCLK], the white goods arm of Turkish industrial conglomerate Koc Holding [IST:KCHOL], said on Tuesday it has suspended production and sales operations in Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa and Russia.

Operations were halted after authorities in these countries enforced curfews to fight the coronavirus outbreak, Arcelik said in a statement filed with Istanbul bourse's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

The curfew is expected to end on April 5 in Bangladesh, April 6 in Pakistan and Russia and on April 17 in South Africa.

The suspended activities account for about 15% of Arcelik's total annual production and 10% of its sales, according to the statement.

Arcelik added that activities in other countries are continuing as planned although there are occasional disruptions in the procurement, production and sales processes.

Arcelik specialises in production, marketing, sales and after-sales customer service activities in white goods, consumer electronics, small home appliances and kitchen accessories. The company has 21 production facilities in eight countries and 34 sales and marketing offices in 30 countries, the website of its parent company showed.
