October 14 (SeeNews) - The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality of the western Turkish city of Izmir has called a sealed tender for procurement of three ferries, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.
The municipality will fund the purchase with part of a 33 million euro ($45 million) loan extended by the EBRD to finance the Izmir Ferries project, the EBRD said on Friday.
The ferries have to be delivered within 550, 730 and 910 days from the date of the contract's signing.
The tender is open to companies from any country. Bids must be submitted by 10.00 a.m local time on December 11.
The Izmir Ferries project envisages the purchase of three vehicle ferries, the constructon of new ferry wharves and of a repair facility.
