ISTANBUL (Turkey), October 15 (SeeNews) – Turkish food producer Eti Gida said on Wednesday it has acquired the Alaska Frigo ice-cream brand from local peer Alaska Gida for 13 million Turkish lira ($5.7 million/4.5 million euro), including investments in the sales and distribution network for the product.
Eti Gida said in a statement it will produce the Alaska Frigo ice-cream at its factory in the northwestern Turkish province of Eskisehir.
Eti Gida’s board chairman Firuzhan Kanatli said the ice-cream product - which expands the company's product range - will be initially sold in parts of Marmara and the Mediterranean regions of Turkey.
Eti Gida produces biscuits, crackers, chocolate bars and baby foods.
