March 30 (SeeNews) - Turkish Airlines [IST:THYAO] is cutting the number of its domestic flights due to the coronavirus outbreak, it said.

As of Monday, domestic flights to Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Diyarbakir, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Samsun, Trabzon and Van will be operated on a limited basis, whereas all other domestic flights are suspended, the Turkish flag carrier said in a notice published on its website on Sunday.

Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that all international flights are being suspended indefinitely in an effort to contain the coronavirus outbreak, Anadolu news agency reported.

Turkey's health minister Fahrettin Koca said that the number of coronavirus cases in Turkey has risen to 9,217 as of Sunday, with confirmed deaths from the infection reaching 131, local Sabah Daily reported.
