August 5 (SeeNews) - Turkish power producer Zorlu Enerji [BIST:ZOREN] said on Monday it has established a 75/25 geothermal energy joint venture with its local partner Rarik-Turkison Enerji Insaat Maden Proje.
Nemrut Jeotermal Elektrik Uretim Anonim Sirketi, 75%-owned by Zorlu Enerji and 25%-owned by Rarik-Turkison Enerji Insaat Maden Proje, will be engaged in geothermal power projects in the area of the eastern Turkish town of Bitlis, Zorlu Enerji said in a bourse filing.

The new entity was registered in the Istanbul Trade Registry on August 2, Zorlu Enerji said.
