October 14 (SeeNews) - Turkey's total turnover index encompassing industry, construction, trade, and services, increased by an annual 48.1% in August, the country's statistical office said.
In August, the turnover index value increased by 56.7% year-on-year in industry, by 39.1% in trade, by 66.9% in services, and by 36.8% in construction, TurkStat said in a statement earlier this week.
On a monthly comparison basis, the total turnover of Turkey's economy went up by 4% in August.
Compared with July, industry sector turnover rose the most, by 5.5%, followed by trade and services which added 3.9% and 2.1%, respectively. Turnover in construction climbed up by 0.5% month-on-month in the month under review.
Turnover comprises the totals invoiced by the observation unit, corresponding to market sales of goods or services supplied to third parties.
