November 19 (SeeNews) - Turkey's total turnover index encompassing industry, construction, trade, and services, increased by an annual 43% in September, the country's statistical office said.
In September, the turnover index value increased by 48% year-on-year in industry, by 36% in trade, by 59% in services, and by 36% in construction, TurkStat said in a statement last week.
On a monthly comparison basis, the total turnover of Turkey's economy edged up 0.6% in September.
Compared with August, construction sector turnover rose the most, by 3.0%, followed by services and trade which went up 2.6% and 0.9%, respectively. Turnover in the industry sector fell 0.9% month-on-month in the month under review.
Turnover comprises the totals invoiced by the observation unit, corresponding to market sales of goods or services supplied to third parties.
