January 24 (SeeNews) - Turkish social, mobile casual-games company Spyke Games said that it received an investment of $55 million (48.6 million euro) in a seed round led by US-based game venture capital firm Griffin Gaming Partners (GGP).
The funding will help Spyke focus on the launch and continuous improvement of its first game which is due to be officially launched within a month, as well as to hire top talent from Turkey’s thriving technology and gaming ecosystem, the company said in a press release last week.
GGP is one of the world’s largest venture capital firms singularly focused on investing in the global gaming market. GGP invests in gaming content and infrastructure companies as well as Web3 gaming-related companies, with notable investments in Discord, Forte, AppLovin, Overwolf and WinZO.
