September 30 (SeeNews) - Turkey's services producer price index (S-PPI) increased by 16.93% on the year in August, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the index rose by 4.02% in August, TurkStat said in a statement.
The S-PPI rose by an annual 22.21% for transportation and storage services, by 19.49% for accommodation and food services and by 5.96% for information and communication services. Services producer prices were 11.88% higher on the year in the professional, scientific and technical sectors and 18.54% higher in the administrative and support sector.
The S-PPI fell by an annual 4.56% in the real estate sector in August.
By subdivisions of services, the index for real estate services decreased the most on an annual comparison basis, as the services producer prices for the subdivision were down 4.56% on the year in August.
The highest annual rates of increase in S-PPI by subdivisions were registered in warehousing and support services for transport - by 33.48%, in postal and courier services - by 27.97% and in water transport services - by 25.42%.
