May 29 (SeeNews) - Turkey's services producer price index (S-PPI) rose by 10.22% on the year in April, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the index increased by 1.33% in April, TurkStat said in a statement.
The S-PPI rose by 13.70% for transportation and storage services on an annual comparison basis, by 10.39% for accommodation and food services and by 3.22% for information and communication services. Services producer prices were 1.98% higher on the year in the real estate sector in April, 11.47% higher in the professional, scientific and technical sectors and 6.85% higher in the administrative and support sector.
By subdivisions of services, the index for telecommunications services decreased the most on an annual basis, as the services producer prices for the subdivision were down 2.95% on the year in April.
The highest annual rates of increase in S-PPI by subdivisions were registered in warehousing and support services for transportation - by 25.79%, in postal and courier services - by 25.01% and in scientific research and development services - by 19.37%.
