January 20 (SeeNews) - Turkey's retail sales at constant prices grew by 8.5% year-on-year in November, after increasing by 6.3% a month earlier, the country's statistical office said.
Food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 0.9%, whereas non-food sales increased by 13% in November compared with the same month in 2018. Automotive fuel sales increased by 8%, data published on the TurkStat website last week showed.
On a monthly comparison basis, the country's retail prices rose 1.7% in November, following an increase of 0.2% in October.
Retail turnover at current prices saw an annual rise of 18.5% in November. In a monthly comparison, retail turnover grew by 2.9% in November, according to the TurkStat data.
