September 24 (SeeNews) - U.S. life science company LifeQuest World Corporation said on Thursday that its subsidiary Biopipe Global, a developer of wastewater treatment technology, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkish sector player Purecycle Inovatif to form a 50-50 equity joint venture in Turkey.
The new entity will install in Turkey sludge-free biological sewage wastewater treatment solutions developed by Biopipe, LifeQuest said in a statement.

The company will initially work with municipalities, installing wastewater treatment systems in parks and villages, before targeting the private sector, according to the statement.
“Turkey will likely be facing water shortages by 2030 and approximately 21% of the population remains unconnected to central sewerage networks. Water recycling and reuse is becoming critical," Purecycle founder Damla Demirel said.
Purecycle offers solutions in waste management and sustainable environmental development to government institutions and private companies.
