May 13 (SeeNews) - Turkey manufactured a total of 451,187 motor vehicles in the first four months of 2021 - an increase of 28.1% on an annual comparison basis, data from the country's Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) showed.
The data represents the number of passenger cars, commercial vehicles and tractors manufactured in the country.
Passenger car production added 17.7% on the year to 288,211 units in the January-April period of this year, while commercial vehicle output increased by 51.7% to 162,976 units.
Turkey's motor vehicle exports totalled 339,197 units in the four months through April, up 18.2% year-on-year. These exports contributed some $10.3 billion (8.5 billion euro) in revenue, up 33.6% year-on-year.
