ISTANBUL (Turkey), October 28 (SeeNews) – Turkish vehicle manufacturer Katmerciler Arac Ustu Ekipman Sanayi ve Ticaret [BIST:KATMR] said on Tuesday it has signed a government contract for the supply of riot control vehicles for 13.7 million euro ($17.5 million).
Under the agreement, the company will supply the Turkish National Police with 65 units of its TOMA-3 civil disturbance intervention trucks, it said in a bourse filing.
Katmerciler won the contract offering the lowest bid in a tender which attracted five bidders, the company noted.
The company produces about 30 types of vehicles and equipment at its facilities in the western Turkish city of Izmir. It exports its production to more than 40 countries.
