July 26 (SeeNews) - Turkish vehicle manufacturer Karsan said on Monday that it has won a 136.4 million lei ($33 million/ 28 million euro) tender to deliver 44 electric buses to the Romanian municipality of Timisoara.
As part of the deal, Karsan will also supply materials for the electric buses' six-year maintenance and necessary charging stations, the company said in a statement to Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform, KAP.
The tender was organised by Romania's regional development ministry.
Established in 1966, Karsan is based in Turkey's Bursa province.
In May, the company won a tender to deliver ten electric buses to the Romanian city of Mangalia.
