September 4 (SeeNews) - Passenger car sales in Turkey rose 20.94% year-on-year to 399,429 vehicles in the eight months through August, the country's Automotive Distributors' Association, ODD, said Wednesday.
Total automotive sales increased 12.43% on the year to 518,382 units in the reviewed period as light commercial vehicle sales decreased 9.08% on the year to 118,953 units, ODD said in a statement on its website.
In August alone passenger car sales grew 25.16% year-on-year but fell 7.36% month-on-month to 51,611 units. Meanwhile, light commercial vehicles sales decreased 20.58% on the year and 15.44% month-on-month to 13,432 units.
